Very honored and grateful for the Small Skies track 'Big Think' to be included in this years PDXPOPNOW! Compilation. This thing is such a labor of love and a testament to how much of a music city Portland is. Be sure to pick one up at a local record store this weekend!

I've been doing a lot of research on the phenomenon of Euclidean Rhythms for my music theory class. You may remember Euclid from math class as the father of geometry. He also invented an algorithm that can be used for all sorts of things including generating rhythms that are as evenly spaced as possible. A fascinating article on how the human brain processes even rhythms explains exactly why we gravitate towards and remember these patterns so easily. It's a bit mind-bending,

VERY excited to return to what I consider the home base for Small Skies the one and only Holocene 4/22/26. I've been working on some sound desighn using Ableton, Push controller and soundtoys plugins.
