Happy birthday Elvin Jones!

This is a news paper clipping I cut out and framed when he passed a while back.. He’s always been a huge inspiration for me ever since my dad took me to see him play when I was a youngster. I circled the part where Elvin was getting interviewed and was talking smack about Ginger Baker saying “he could fly, but wasn’t grounded” because I felt like that was an issue with my playing too.
