One of the things I’ve always loved about the drum set is the amount of creatively and individuality that can go into your set up. People have been experimenting since the beginning with percussive instruments from around the world (temple blocks and toms from China, snare and bass drums from Europe, cymbals from Turkey etc) and creating whole new instruments. I love nerding out and checking out old school set ups to see the way people used to play.
